Bollywood Celebrities Contribute ‘Steps’ on Max Bupa’s first of its kind PowerWalk Machine to Pledge For a Healthier Nation

New Delhi, February 12, 2018: Thousands on youngsters lined up at various locations in Delhi/ NCR to pledge support towards a healthier environment and a greener Delhi. They did so by on special Max Bupa PowerWalking machines that convert Human Steps into electricity. While Delhi’s youth PowerWalked on the Max Bupa machines, the energy generated through their human steps was stored in portable batteries. Max Bupa will collect the electricity generated by thousands of Delhiites over the 3-day period and donate the electricity to the needy to light up their lives.
On February 4, 2018, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar turned ‘PowerWalk Man’ when he walked on the Max Bupa machine at Max Bupa Walk For Health Season 6 Mumbai edition to demonstrate his commitment towards a healthier environment. The actor stressed on the dual health benefits of such an innovative PowerWalk Machine on physical health and the city’s health (by saving natural resources consumed in generating electricity) and urged the city’s residents to take up the intense form of walking.
Bollywood celebrities Ayushmann Khurana, Malaika Arora and Sanya Malhotra are also set to PowerWalk on the machines at the Delhi leg of Max Bupa Walk For Health Season 6 on February 18, at Major Dhyanchand Stadium, motivating Delhiites to walk for their own health as well as the health of the environment.
